Saturday 11 November 2023, starting at 11.30 a.m., is the opening of the new exhibitions at Palazzo Collicola, Spoleto. The cycle includes two solo exhibitions and an installation, set up in the spaces of the ground floor and the Piano Nobile of the palace, created by three international artists with deep ties to Italy and who will exhibit in Spoleto for the first time: Petra Feriancová, Francis Offman and Calixto Ramírez. Their proposals will dialogue with the artistic heritage of Palazzo Collicola, as well as with the landscape-natural heritage of the city. The inauguration will be held in the presence of the three invited authors.
On the second floor, in the rooms adjoining the gallery with sculptures from Leoncillo’s informal period, a series of drawings by the famous artist from Spoleto will also be on display: a tribute to one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century, whose works are currently stored in the repositories. All exhibition projects will run until 11 March 2024.

The project was realised on the occasion of the bicentenary of Achille Sansi’s birth, in consideration of the commitment he spent on the establishment of the city’s grammar school and the fact that the school is named after him.
The exhibition displays a selection of documents that testify to the rich and varied activities of Achille Sansi, a truly multifaceted genius, and offers an overview of the places where he lived and worked.
Accompanying the visitors during their visit to the exhibition will be the students who carried out the project. The realisation of the initiative was also an opportunity to create a permanent exhibition space within the school.

From 15 December 2023 to 30 June 2024 Palazzo Toni, in Piazza Carducci 1, home of the Liceo ‘Sansi Leonardi Volta’ in Spoleto, will host the exhibition “Sulle orme di Achille Sansi”.
The event is the final stage of a two-year-long school-work alternation course, during which, thanks to the close collaboration between the school, the State Archives of Perugia-Section of Spoleto and the Municipal Administration-Library ‘Giosuè Carducci’, the students were able to investigate the multifaceted figure of Baron Achille Sansi (historian, poet, archivist, education expert and cultural heritage expert).
The project was realised on the occasion of the bicentenary of Achille Sansi’s birth, in consideration of the commitment he spent on the establishment of the city’s grammar school and the fact that the school is named after him.
The exhibition displays a selection of documents that testify to the rich and varied activities of Achille Sansi, a truly multifaceted genius, and offers an overview of the places where he lived and worked.
Accompanying the visitors during their visit to the exhibition will be the students who carried out the project. The realisation of the initiative was also an opportunity to create a permanent exhibition space within the school.

Spoleto will be the setting for a colourful picture of more than 90 000 tulips cultivated in a large flat field of around 15 000 square metres, with a windmill, giant Dutch plinth and typical Dutch attractions All this will bring the wonders of the Netherlands to life for visitors, directly on Umbrian soil
The ‘You pick’ format, the self-service of flowers
The event is based on an innovative idea, an alternative to simply buying flowers.
The ‘You Pick!’ format gives the possibility of picking a bouquet of tulips directly and independently from the field, choosing them one by one, and turning a simple purchase into a real experience.
Access and tulip picking: Visitors can pick tulips and customise the bouquet by choosing individual tulips. There is an entrance fee that entitles visitors not only to collect the tulips, but also to stay in the area during opening hours.
The location
Tulipark is located in Baiano di Spoleto in Via Lenin, 300 metres from the railway station, which can be reached by regional trains.
The area is part of the Villa Leonetti Luparini – Villa Galileo complex.
There is ample parking in an area adjacent to the Tulipark area.
