The ‘You pick’ format, the self-service of flowers
The event is based on an innovative idea, an alternative to simply buying flowers.
The ‘You Pick!’ format gives the possibility of picking a bouquet of tulips directly and independently from the field, choosing them one by one, and turning a simple purchase into a real experience.
Access and tulip picking: Visitors can pick tulips and customise the bouquet by choosing individual tulips. There is an entrance fee that entitles visitors not only to collect the tulips, but also to stay in the area during opening hours.
The location
Tulipark is located in Baiano di Spoleto in Via Lenin, 300 metres from the railway station, which can be reached by regional trains.
The area is part of the Villa Leonetti Luparini – Villa Galileo complex.
There is ample parking in an area adjacent to the Tulipark area.

From 15 December 2023 to 30 June 2024 Palazzo Toni, in Piazza Carducci 1, home of the Liceo ‘Sansi Leonardi Volta’ in Spoleto, will host the exhibition “Sulle orme di Achille Sansi”.
The event is the final stage of a two-year-long school-work alternation course, during which, thanks to the close collaboration between the school, the State Archives of Perugia-Section of Spoleto and the Municipal Administration-Library ‘Giosuè Carducci’, the students were able to investigate the multifaceted figure of Baron Achille Sansi (historian, poet, archivist, education expert and cultural heritage expert).
The project was realised on the occasion of the bicentenary of Achille Sansi’s birth, in consideration of the commitment he spent on the establishment of the city’s grammar school and the fact that the school is named after him.
The exhibition displays a selection of documents that testify to the rich and varied activities of Achille Sansi, a truly multifaceted genius, and offers an overview of the places where he lived and worked.
Accompanying the visitors during their visit to the exhibition will be the students who carried out the project. The realisation of the initiative was also an opportunity to create a permanent exhibition space within the school.

a performance by MYRIAM LAPLANTE
As part of the exhibition Infinita Infanzia

On Friday 26 April 2024, at 5.30 p.m., the performance Lupus in Fabula, by Myriam Laplante, is scheduled at Palazzo Collicola.
The action is closely related to the work that the artist presented on the occasion of the exhibition Infinite Childhood, currently running at the museum.
Lupus in Fabula, first presented at the Annina Nosei Gallery in New York in 2005, is inspired by the Brothers Grimm’s fairy tale The Wolf and the Seven Kids. Laplante’s work presents three enormous wolves lying sated on the ground, their bellies full: the performance will give an unpredictable development to the story and to the work itself, contributing to the creation of an atmosphere that is both fairy-tale-like and gloomy, fully in line with the poetics of Myriam Laplante, whose works are characterised as a parody of the world, cynical and absurd, melancholic and disorienting, with an interpretation that can touch on themes of pressing topicality.
With Lupus in Fabula, the museum opens its doors to performance, demonstrating its desire to promote different expressive languages and to constantly create moments of encounter and study open to the public. The initiative is part of Infinita infanzia, a group exhibition curated by the director of Spoleto’s Municipal Museums, Saverio Verini, which explores the theme of childhood through numerous works by contemporary artists, including Maurizio Cattelan, Carol Rama, Luigi Ontani, Diego Marcon and Adelaide Cioni. The exhibition aims to show how childhood is not simply a golden age, but a phase of life full of facets, between discovery and trauma, play and disobedience, carefreeness and anxieties.

The area is part of the Villa Leonetti Luparini – Villa Galileo complex.

Libertà batte nel cuore (Freedom beats in the heart) will be held on Saturday 27 April from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Giro della Rocca.
To celebrate the anniversary of the Liberation of Italy, the City of Spoleto has the pleasure of inviting many of you to participate in the sound project Libertà batte nel cuore, conceived and curated by artist Nyla van Ingen, with the collaboration of Franco Troiani and with the valuable in-progress adhesions of numerous other artists/musicians.
Drummers and all those who spontaneously wish to present themselves with drums or other percussion instruments are invited to participate in order to join an ideal circle around the Rocca Albornoz (360 degrees) and share this collective sound improvisation project that will take place on the evening of Saturday 27 April from 6 to 8 pm.
Libertà batte nel cuore is an invitation to dance, to celebrate, but above all an invitation to contemplate the precious freedom obtained through the perseverance and sacrifices of those who fought for Italy and those who still continue to fight for freedom around the world.
‘The nature of the project is based on the presence of many people’ / Libertà batte nel cuore is a unique experience, open to all, everyone can participate with percussion instruments, together we can make something magical!

On the occasion of the long weekend between 25 April and 1 May, Sistema Museo offers a calendar of special openings and guided tours in the museum circuit of Spoleto and Campello sul Clitunno.
From Thursday 25 April to Wednesday 1 May, visitors will be able to choose from a rich series of insights into the main museums of Spoleto and Campello sul Clitunno.

The 33rd Spoleto International Dance Competition will be held at the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti from 29 April to 4 May 2024. Sponsored by the City of Spoleto, the event will once again feature dancers from all over the world.
The twinning with the Chinese competition of the same name continues, as does the participation of an international jury. The Critics’ Prize will be awarded by dance critic Sara Zuccari, and lessons will be given by classical and modern dance masters.
General Direction by Paolo Boncompagni and Artistic Direction by Irina Kashkova.
From 15 December 2023 to 30 June 2024 Palazzo Toni, in Piazza Carducci 1, home of the Liceo ‘Sansi Leonardi Volta’ in Spoleto, will host the exhibition “Sulle orme di Achille Sansi”.
The event is the final stage of a two-year-long school-work alternation course, during which, thanks to the close collaboration between the school, the State Archives of Perugia-Section of Spoleto and the Municipal Administration-Library ‘Giosuè Carducci’, the students were able to investigate the multifaceted figure of Baron Achille Sansi (historian, poet, archivist, education expert and cultural heritage expert).
The project was realised on the occasion of the bicentenary of Achille Sansi’s birth, in consideration of the commitment he spent on the establishment of the city’s grammar school and the fact that the school is named after him.
The exhibition displays a selection of documents that testify to the rich and varied activities of Achille Sansi, a truly multifaceted genius, and offers an overview of the places where he lived and worked.
Accompanying the visitors during their visit to the exhibition will be the students who carried out the project. The realisation of the initiative was also an opportunity to create a permanent exhibition space within the school.
