On the occasion of the European Night of Museums 2022 to be held Saturday, May 14, the Rocca Albornoz and the National Museum of the Duchy of Spoleto will remain open from 19:30 to 22:30 (last admission at 21:45) at a reduced rate of 1 euro.

For the occasion one of the architectural jewels of the city will host a series of events aimed at enhancing the historical and artistic heritage of the city.

At 19.30 there will beAnimali in Rocca (Animals in the Fortress), a guided tour by Lucia Tardocchi, part of Franco Troiani’s Spolia 2022-2023. Bestiario Postatomico (Postatomic Bestiary) programme, and at 21.00. a special guided tour of the defensive walkways of the fortress and the historical costumes made for Donizetti’s opera Lucrezia Borgia by the students of Spoleto’s IPSIA.

During the special evening opening, lifts to the monument will operate until 22.30 (the Ponzianina P2 escalator service runs until 23.00.).
