Wednesday, April 3 at 21:30, a new Visioni d’Autore event: Director Leonardo Guerra Seràgnoli meets the audience of Spoleto for the presentation of the film LIKEMEBACK, presented at the 71st Locarno Festival in the Cineasti del Presente Section.
Visioni d’Autore is organized by Comune Di Spoleto, Associazione Culturale MAIA and Cinéma Sala Pegasus.
THE MOVIE
Lavinia, Carla and Danila have just finished high school and are leaving together for a sailing holiday. They are alone with their mobile phones and a skipper, travelling along the coasts of Croatia, full of dreams, freedom, carefreeness and unaware that sharing everything on social media will turn their holiday into a brutal rite of passage to adulthood where nothing, especially their friendship, will ever be as before.
Presented in the Cineasti del Presente section, it gained the attention of Locarno press and audience by recording sold out previews and two extra screenings. A particular work of research and experimentation has involved photography and sound; the original music was entrusted to Alva Noto, one of the most important sound artists in the world, nominated for an Oscar with Ryūichi Sakamoto for the soundtrack of The Revenant by A. G. Inarritu.
