Sunday 5 March at 12 there will be the opening of the next exhibiting project scheduled at the Rocca Albornoz – National Museum of the Duchy of Spoleto.
The event opens with Ospiti in Rocca (Italian for “Guests at the Rocca”), a first body of seven works coming from museums and churches of Umbria, Marche and Lazio; they testify to the cultural identity and memoir of the lands that were struck by the recent seismic swarm; these areas are historically and artistically a single entity, joint together by many affinities.
The exhibition is organized by Regione Umbria, by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, by the Spoleto-Norcia Archdiocese, and by the City of Spoleto.
The exhibition is operatively managed by Sistema Museo. The event is included in the programme “Discovering Umbria”, promoted by Regione Umbria.
Attendees will include Regione Umbria chairwoman Catiuscia Marini, director of the Regional Authority for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Environment Marica Mercalli
and director of the Umbria Museum Centre Marco Pierini.
