Friday 4 December 2015 at 21.00 at the Gian Carlo Menotti Theatre in Spoleto, the enchanting choreography and costumes of one of the world’s most famous ballet companies will be on stage.

The stories of Aurora, Prince Desiré and the Lilac Fairy, so dear to children, are at the heart of one of the ballet masterpieces of the 19th century, The Sleeping Beauty, which is one of the flagships of the Ballet of Moscow.

The Sleeping Beauty brings the enchantment of the fairy tale to the stage with fabulous sets and costumes, and music by P.I. Tchaikovsky to choreography by Marius Petipa. This exciting production, featuring dancers such as Stetlitsa Evgenii and Olga Kifiak, both principal soloists of the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theatre, owes its particularity to the romantic finale in which all the characters from the most famous fairy tales “meet” to celebrate the awakening of the beautiful sleeping princess and the crowning of her dreams of love with her prince.

The New Classical Ballet of Moscow is still one of the best international ballet companies. The repertoire includes such classics of musical and artistic heritage as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, Giselle, Don Quixote, Carmen, Coppelia and many others.
