MIGUEL ANGEL ZOTTO is to tango as Rudolf Nureyev to ballet. Undisputed star and charismatic interpreter of sade thoughts to be danced, considered by the experts “among the three best tango dancers of the century”, the great Argentinian dancer enlivens the various nuances of this sensual, poetic dance, conquering the primate of best tanguero. Miguel Angel Zotto is amongst the most important tango theatrical divulgers; his acknowledged qualities include accuracy, virility of the moves, versatility while presenting the various styles and the most colourful tones of such a sensual, mysterious dance. On this occasion, Zotto and his dancers are flanked by TANGO SONOS ORCHESTRA that, though respecting the standard line-up of tango music performers (except for replacing second violin with cello), is an all-Italian ensemble totally devoted to tango music performing. The show proposes a musical, choreographic journey through the various facets of tango: among both standard and original arrangements by the quartet, the show unravels in the figurations of the dancing couples led by Zotto, along with the clear, sensual coils of tango, and the history of the male-female relations in the Argentinian society, lively in its pot-pourri of cultures, taste and passion, magnificently molten in a dance.
