De Chirico. La ricostruzione, the exhibition on the great XXth-cen painter at Palazzo Bufalini in Spoleto, has scored more than one thousand paying visitors in its first three weekends. The exhibition, the first-ever organized at the MAG Metamorfosi Art Gallery, will last till 5 June.
It is a great success for the debut of this new exhibiting space in Piazza Duomo, an actual open-air, internationally known stage that was made famous by the Festival Of Two Worlds. MAG Gallery has already programmed other great exhibitions, that will feature Canova, Lippi and Warhol.
De Chirico. La ricostruzione was organized by Metamorfosi in collaboration with Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico, and the support of the City of Spoleto and Region Umbria. It is curated by art historian Claudio Strinati, who selected a meaningful body of 13 works dating to the last thirty years of the artist, to focus on an interesting parallelism between the reconstruction process that Italy faced past WWII and the Maestro’s coinciding production.
