Mezz’ora dopo la chiusura dedicates the meeting of 6 May to the theme “Presenti all’appuntamento: sguardo e ascolto per leggere le immagini”.

Watching is never a one-sided act, it establishes a mutual relationship between the watcher and the observed object. For this reason, watching means listening and reading, arriving on time at the appointment with the conversation between image and watcher.  A conversation which is not only “learned critique”, but a narration by both, a text of the present time, with different accents and meanings that vary if the images are still or in movement, silent or spoken.

Glances, sounds and readings applied to the images will be the topic of the debate by director of Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive Gianluca Marziani and musician and videomaker Marco Schiavoni, moderated by Andrea Tomasini.

The initiative, promoted by the Public Library on the occasion of the event “Maggio dei Libri – 2016″, will take place at 17.30 by the Salone d’Onore at the Piano Nobile of Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive.

The event is open to all with free admission. The evening goes on with a tasting of typical products by the Caffè Collicola. The event is organised in collaboration with Con Spoleto – Spoleto Hotel Managers’ Association.
