Spoleto Arte: a tribute to Maria Callas

The great “Spoleto Arte” exhibition, curated by Vittorio Sgarbi and organized by culture manager Salvo Nugnes, aims at paying homage to La Divina of bel canto Maria Callas, featuring a display of mementoes that were part of the singer’s valuable private archives, to symbollically celebrate the indelible memory of the great soprano, actual icon of the world of opera. The 2016 edition of “Spoleto Arte” will take place from 25 June to 24 July at Palazzo Leti Sansi, in the heart of Spoleto, between Piazza del Mercato and via Arco di Druso. The opening vernissage will be on Saturday 25 June and will feature the great Katia Ricciarelli, Italian icon of opera singing, and other important characters and authorities.

Callas wrote chapters that still give us strong, unique emotions, her memory outlives time itself and enthralls the Young who approach opera singing“.
