The 2nd edition of the International Campus organized in Spoleto by the Silvio d’Amico Academy finishes Saturday 30 July.
More than 60 students from the main European schools of theatre (Rome, Paris, Brno, Cordova, St Petersburg, Munich, Budapest) have taken part in four international workshops at the Complesso di San Nicolò and at theTeatrino delle 6, under the direction of European stage masters.
Maestro Lorenzo Salveti declared that “the young talents of tomorrow’s theatre could live a sharing experience, working side by side with colleagues and masters from diverse theatrical cultures. A very welcome guest was Tian Mansha from Shanghai, who illustrated the basic porinciples of Chinese Traditional Drama to the students.
The awesome frame of the Complesso di San Nicolò and of the Teatrino delle 6, and the exquisite welcome by the city have displayed Spoleto as the ideal place for such international initiatives”.
Saturday 30 the works will be open to the public, and it will be possible to follow some phases of technical and interpretative work that the masters propose to the students.
Here’s the schedule:
1) 12.00 through 12.40, Teatrino delle 6, “Physical theatre”, led by Francesco Manetti and Monica Vannucchi of the Accademia “Silvio d’Amico”;
2) 17.00 through 17.40, San Nicolò, “Greek Tragedy”, led by Victor Arditti (Greece) and Lina Salvatore (Italy);
3) 17.40 through 18.20, San Nicolò, “The Traditional Chinese Opera”;
4) 18.30, San Nicolò, “La Commedia dell’Arte”, workshop led by Lorenzo Salveti and Michele Monetta.
