The 2016/2017 prose season closes at the Teatro Nuovo “Menotti”, Spoleto with  “La Scuola”, a play by Domenico Starnone featuring Silvio Orlando and Vittoria Belvedere, directed by Daniele Luchetti and scheduled for Monday 20 March at 21.00.

This 1992 theatre comedy returns after 25 years. It’s exam time at school, and a group of teachers decides on their students’ future. The outer reality creeps in from time to time in this defined space. Hilarious characters interpreting unperturbable, yet compassionate judges arise from a background of hopes, ambitions, social and personal conflicts, love stories, friendships and generational clashes. Brilliant dialogues and catch-22 situations make it an irresistibly comical play.

Besides Silvio Orlando and Vittoria Belvedere, cast also includes Vittorio Ciorcalo, Roberto Citran, Roberto Nobile, Antonio Petrocelli, Maria Laura Rondanini. Scenes by Giancarlo Basili, lighting by Pasquale Mari, costumes by Maria Rita Barbera.

On the same day, at 17.00 at Palazzo Collicola – Biblioteca Carandente, there will be the last meeting on theatre mediation, led by Lorella Natalizi.
