Do you come here often? is an unconventional habitat by Mattia Pajè. The Milanese artist explores the relation between various unpredictable elements at the Ponte Sanguinario in Spoleto. Reasoning intuitively, and escaping the cause-effect relation, Do you come here often? was conceived as a space by the bilateral symmetry, through which the artist investigates on the nature of human mind. The visitor is asked to dive deep into the environment and verify the effects of the work on him/herself. The Ponte Sanguinario is an ancient Roman bridge. It stands underneath the street level in Piazza della Vittoria, a few steps away from Porta San Gregorio and the Basilica of San Gregorio Maggiore. The access staircase is introduced by an iron banister; the installation transforms the Ponte Sanguinario through the use of light, that gives the historical site a brand new, unprecedented aspect.

(1991) artist and artistic director who mostly works on the understanding of art’s entity, including the works of art’s production and usage processes.
Through experiments and exercises, Pajè analyses the various circumstances in which an action, a body, a space or an object can assume a meaning as works of art.
He intends his own body of work as a series of practices generating objects, spaces or tangible situations that interrogate themselves on their own essence.
In 2016 he founds the Sogni di Ghiaccio icecream parlour along with Filippo Marzocchi, an independent space dedicated to exhibitions, collaborations, discussions.
