SPOLETO FAMILY FILM FESTIVAL
4 – 6 August, film projections, meetings, workshops
Don Matteo 11 cast members Mariasole Pollio and Federico Russo, actor Ninni Bruschetta (Boris, To Rome with Love, Quo vado?) and film directors Gennaro Nunziante (Cado dalle nubi, Che bella giornata, Sole a catinelle, Quo Vado?) and Luca Lucini (Tre metri sopra il cielo, L’uomo perfetto, Come diventare grandi nonostante i genitori), are but some of the guests of the Spoleto Family Film Festival.
For the second year in a row, the city of the Festival welcomes a family-oriented cinema event featuring activities for all ages, to show closely what the audience loves to see on the screen, films, the most beloved characters, offering food for thought on the themes chosen year after year to support intergenerational dialogue.
The event is included in the Spoleto Summer Events Programme ”Le Quattro Stagioni – Spoleto d’Estate 2017”, and organized by Lux Vide, Associazione Effe 3, Con Spoleto and Confcommercio Spoleto.
Friday 4 August opens with theatre workshops (also scheduled for Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 August) at the Palestra XX Settembre (Piazza XX Settembre) from 10.30 to 12.30 (7 – 12 yo children) and from 16.00 to 18.00 (12/16). Still on Friday 4, at the Caffè Letterario in Palazzo Mauri at 17.30, youtuber and Don Matteo 11 cast member Maria Sole Pollio, will meet her fans.
At 18.30 there will be a guided S/S of the places of Don Matteo, starting from Palazzo Mauri, while the Terrazza Frau (via del Seminario) will be the place of the 19.30 aperitive-party with the cast of Don Matteo 11, featuring cast members Maurizio Lastrico, Federico Russo, Maria Chiara Giannetta and Mariasole Pollio; advance excerpts from the next season will also be projected (free admission, reservation is strongly encouraged by calling ConSpoleto (0743.220773 or 334.2669688) or emailing to info.conspoleto@gmail.com).
The first day’s final event will be at the Sala Frau at 21.30, with the projection of the animated film “Ratatouille”.
Saturday 5 August, beside the theatre workshops at the Palestra XX Settembre and the Scenography workshop at the Caffè Letterario in Palazzo Mauri (10.30-12.30), will feature three appointments with cinema at the Sala Pegasus: at 16.00 “Come diventare grandi nonostante i genitori”, followed by the meeting with cast members Federico, Chiara Primavesi and Emanuele Misuraca. At 19.00 there will be the meeting with actor Ninni Bruschetta, directors Luca Lucini and Gennaro Nunziante, and producer Nadia Grippiolo.
At 21.30 there will be the projection of “Era d’Estate”, a tribute to magistrates and mafia victims Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino.
Sunday 6 August is the final day, will feature the theatre workshops at the Palestra XX Settembre from 10.30 to 12.30 (7 – 12 yo children) and from 16.00 to 18.00 (12/16), and related prize-giving at 20.30 at the Cinema Sala Frau. Two further projections will close the three-day event: at 17.30, Sala Pegasus, “Il figlio sospeso” (followed by a meeting with director/actor Egidio Termine) and at 21.30 “Quo Vado” at the Sala Frau.
