There was a good first for I Love Spoleto, the programme of shows included in the programme of Le Quattro Stagioni – Spoleto d’Estate which opened at the Roman Theatre with two shows with a strong emotional impact. Giancarlo Giannini with his Parole Notedelighted the audience thanks to his interpretative intensity and the musical accompaniment of the Marco Zurzulo Quartet, embellished by Spoleto’s famous accordionist Luciano Biondini. A sparkling and informal recital, but at the same time intense and vibrant, which reached a large and varied audience.
After Giannini it was the turn of Mediterranea, Bigonzetti’s most represented choreography in the world, which, 25 years after its debut, is taken up and staged by Daniele Cipriani Entertainment’s solo dancers. The choreography addressed a very topical issue, representing our lands where seemingly different cultures confront and clash, while having common Mediterranean roots. Performers shone on the stage of the Roman Theatre thanks to the lightwork curated by Carlo Cerri.
About 1300 people attended last weekend’s shows at the Roman Theatre. A great start for I Love Spoleto programme of events that will offer two other important dates before the grand finale.
On Friday, July 27, Kataklò, a popular company of acrobat dancers, will perform in Ready, a show specially designed by Giulia Staccioli for a place of great impact such as the Roman theater.
On Saturday, July 28, the International Gala of Dance will pay tribute to Rudolf Nureyev with important étoiles and first dancers from the world’s major theatres. A journey through the most significant stages of the extraordinary artist’s career, with Nureyev’s best-known pieces and coreographies.
I Love Spoleto, a festival organized by Entertainment Cultural Association will continue until the end of August with Caparezza‘s concert and Christian De Sica‘s show.
