A day to celebrate the competitive excellence of Spoleto sport, its protagonists, its successes, its extraordinary results. A moment of celebration in which the city has become a single great team.

Today 34 athletes from Spoleto who wrote the most beautiful pages of 2018 in different sports disciplines met at the Complesso Monumentale San Nicolò. The City has organized this event, included in the Spoleto by winter programme, to recognize the merits of those who, with passion and commitment, devote themselves daily to their sport, representing a boast for the city and a model to take as an example. A proof of the value of sport, which is a fundamental cultural resource for the whole community and – as explained by the Mayor Umberto de Augustinis – “tonight’s ceremony testifies to the important results that our athletes have achieved during this year and the precious commitment and passion that they put into their disciplines. Their spirit of sacrifice and their enthusiasm are a tribute to the spirit of sports culture”.
