More than 250 dancers at the Csen Danza Umbria International Dance Competition

Over 250 were the dancers who participated in the international dance competition organized by Csen Danza Umbria on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 January at the Teatro Nuovo “Gian Carlo Menotti” in Spoleto. After the classical and contemporary dance classes on Friday and Saturday morning, the actual competition took place on Saturday afternoon.

The international jury, composed of FRANCESCO NAPPA, international freelance choreographer, JEAN SEBASTIAN COLAU of the Paris Opera and CARLA SILVA co-director of the Augsburg company in Germany, has awarded the three choreographies presented by the ARABESQUE DANCE school, assigned a 500€ scholarship to Michela Pauselli, a 50% scholarships for the summer school of the Royal Academy of Dance to Gian Maria Angeloni and Angela Rosi (Umbria Dance School of Barbara Formica). Gaja Bonanno of the Studio Danza of Città di Castello and choreographer Roberta Giubilei (winner with the choreography ACCORDO DISSONANTE) were invited by the director of the company of Augsburg to a one-week residency at the same company. Best debutant dancer was Sakhno Naadiian (Ukraine) while Sokolova Milana (also from Ukraine) was declared best performer. For the junior choreography category, the first prize went to “Team Dance” by Spoleto (Beatrice Oliva, Vittoria Tizi, Margherita Bravetti, Federica Santoni, Francesca Gioacchini, Martina Gioacchini, Agnese Caporaletti, Ilaria Belloni, Gaia Settimi, Giorgio Gherman, Maria Vittoria Tulli, Elisa Capitani, coached by Sara Libori and Arianna De Angelis Marocco) who reached the top step of the podium thanks to choreography “Elogio alla Follia” by Arianna De Angelis Marocco.
