On Thursday, February 28, two events will take place in Spoleto offering the opportunity to confront the work of two authors who are considered among the most influential of 19th century and among the fathers of modern theater: Chekhov and Ibsen.

On the occasion of Hot Anthology, literary aperitifs dedicated to famous pages of erotic fiction (Sala Pegasus, 6 pm) Anna Leonardi will read “La Signorina N.N.”, “La Corista” and “Voglia di Dormire”, three famous stories signed by the Russian author, one of the world greatest writers. Hot Anthology includes readings and tastings of local food offered by Fratelli MUSCO, Pasticceria Tebro and Urbani truffles.
Entrance to the reading + aperitif: 6.50 Euro.

As part of Spoleto 2018-2019 Theatre Season, THE MASTER BUILDER by Henrik Ibsen will be staged at Teatro Nuovo “Gian Carlo Menotti” (9 pm). The show, a production by Orsini Company and Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria, stars Umberto Orsini and Lucia Lavia as well as Renata Palminello, Pietro Micci, Chiara Degani, Salvatore Drago and Flavio Bonacci. Direction by Alessandro Serra, who has just returned from the extraordinary international success of Macbettu, winner of the 2017 Ubu Prize as Show of the Year and the 2017 ANCT Prize.
