Massimo Franco presents his book C’ERA UNA VOLTA ANDREOTTI

Italian journalist Massimo Franco will present his latest book C’era una volta Andreotti on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 17:00 at Palazzo Leti Sansi (Via Arco di Druso, 37).

Roberto Conticelli, journalist and president of the Order of Journalists of Umbria, will moderate the meeting; speeches will be given by Giuseppe De Rita, founder of Censis, and Ada Urbani, Councillor for Culture of the City of Spoleto; Dario Pompili, president of the Amici di Spoleto Association, will chair the meeting.

The event is organized by the Amici di Spoleto Association and supported by the Cassa di Risparmio di Spoleto Foundation and the Francesca, Valentina and Luigi Antonini Foundation.

The book. Giulio Andreotti has survived two world wars, seven popes, the monarchy, fascism, the first and second republic, six trials for mafia and murder. Giulio Andreotti has been a unique example of power in Italy for longevity, survival to scandals, familiarity with the apparatus of the state and the Vatican and with the world’s ruling classes.
A hundred years after his birth, Massimo Franco tells and analyzes Andreotti and his world.

Massimo Franco is a professional journalist, a political commentator and reporter of Corriere della Sera. He previously worked as a columnist for Avvenire and correspondent for Il Giorno and then for Panorama. A renowned essayist, he is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London (IISS). He collaborates with “Otto e mezzo” TV broadcast on LA7. His articles and analyses have been published on geopolitical magazine Limes, on the French magazine Études, on the bimonthly magazine of the IISS Survival, on the daily newspaper Los Angeles Times.
