European libraries, especially in Northern countries (Germany and Scandinavian countries), preserve a vast catalogue of Italian baroque music, most of which was hardly written by our composers or was proven to have nothing to do with them. Antonio Vivaldi’s works are certainly among the most copied, transcribed and stolen.

The event is organized by the Associazione Filarmonica Umbra (Umbrian Philharmonic Association), which will present other concerts at the Caio Melisso, dedicated to the music of Beethoven (11 May at 5 pm) and Gershwin (9 June at 9 pm).

Admission to the concert is free of charge but requires a reservation. Booking does not entitle you to a numbered seat. Reservations can be made at the following number 0743 218620 on the following days: Thursday 18 April, Friday 19, Saturday 20, Tuesday 23, Wednesday 24 and Friday 26 April from 9.00 to 13.30 and from 15.00 to 19.00; public holidays from 10 to 13 and from 15 to 17.30. On the day of the Concert, Saturday, April 27 from 9 am to 1 pm
