Palazzo comunale, Sala dello Spagna | Monday 29 April at 17.30
Save the Frogs Day is an international event established by the American association by the same name in 2008, to raise awareness on Amphibians and their ongoing decline.
This year too, the Societas Herpetologica Italica is supporting the initiative through a series of events organised by its members throughout the country, also in collaboration with other organisations.
On Monday 29 April, in the Sala dello Spagna of the Palazzo Comunale, from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., a meeting will be held by Cristiano Spilinga, Francesca Montioni, Emi Petruzzi (Sez. SHI UMBRIA-MARCHE – Studio naturalistico Hyla) and Federica Andreini from the environmental office of the City of Spoleto, to discuss the biology, ecology and conservation of the Apennine ululone (Bombina pachypus) in the Spoleto Mountains with particular reference to the restoration of the troughs, important breeding sites for the species, carried out by the City of Spoleto on Monte Fionchi.
