The first appointment with the “Note Lettere” recital, held yesterday at the Auditorium della Stella, was titled “Journey to Italy” and conquered the large audience.

The recital was conceived as a path through pieces by composers – chosen by Maestro Maria Chiara Grilli and interpreted by the voices of the young singers of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale – combined with literary texts. Texts were selected by Andrea Tomasini and recited by Maria Rosaria Omaggio, are by illustrious writers and travelers, who have told Spoleto over the centuries. Famous songs and unknown gems that have shown how Spoleto has been at the centre of many stories, the subject of glances, emotions, tales and memories, a plethora of testimonies – superbly interpreted by Maria Rosaria Omaggio – which offered an original, fertile look on the city.

Deputy mayor of the City of Spoleto Beatrice Montioni and president of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale Battistina Vargiu brought the institutional greetings. The show was curated by the Carducci and Carandente Libraries and by Teatro Lirico Sperimentale.

The next appointment with Note Lettere will be on Wednesday 21 August 2019 at the Centro Civico di San Nicolò with “French colors”, also featuring Maria Rosaria Omaggio.
