An experimental service of tourist bus in Spoleto old town has been activated by the City Council this morning.
From Saturday, August 10, an open bus will be operating in the historic center of Spoleto; the new tourist line (active on an experimental basis until October 31) will be carried out by the company City Red Bus, which already operates with similar services in Bologna, Cortina D’Ampezzo and San Vito di Cadore.
An electric minibus of the latest generation will accompany citizens and tourists to discover Spoleto’s attractions and beauties while, thanks to an audio guide in Italian and English, all passengers will receive some insights on history, legends, monuments and curiosities.
An electric vehicle, therefore producing 0 emissions, silent, environmentally friendly and perfectly in line with the modern and effective mobility system, which integrates perfectly with the city’s alternative mobility system and with the prospect of a historic center increasingly free from cars.
The tour will initially be available from Thursday to Sunday and on public holidays; passages every hour from 10 to 13 and from 14 to 18, with 10 stops located throughout the historic center, from Piazza Garibaldi to Rocca Albornoziana, from the Cathedral to the main parking access to the city.

The ticket (8 euro full price, 6 reduced for children 3-10 years and school groups, free for children 0-2 years and disabled), available on board the bus, allows you to use the service throughout the day. The Hop On Hop Off Bus allows you to get on and off as many times as you want to admire Spoleto in total comfort.
