The Concerti all’Alba organized by UmbriaEnsemble is a series of highly suggestive musical proposal at sunrise featuring performnces of famous pieces from the classical musical tradition, jazz and symphony, in the evocative location of the Rocca Albornoziana.
The first appointment is scheduled for Sunday 18 August at 6.20 with “Cinema, Jazz and Tango. Summer Emotions“: A. Cicillini and C. Rossi on violin, L. Ranieri on viola, MC Berioli on cello, G. Brufani on double bass, together with the extraordinary Sax of Federico Mondelci – soloist and international conductor, will stage an exciting musical journey through the most popular film soundtracks (Morricone, Piovani), the evergreens of jazz (Ellington, Bernstein, Gershwin), of folk (Iturralde) and tango (Piazzolla).
The second appointment is for Saturday, August 24, also at 6.20 and is titled “Le Follie di Paganini. At the roots of instrumental virtuosity“: Claudio Piastra on guitar, Luca Ranieri on viola and M. Cecilia Berioli on cello will perform a musical program that includes pieces by Paganini and Brescianello.
To allow for accessing the free shows and easily reach the Rocca Albornoziana, the Ponzianina – Rocca escalator will open at 5.15.
Renowned soloists and chamber musicians of high artistic depth who can boast considerable experience and recognition in classical and innovative linguistic fields: UmbriaEnsemble presents itself as an ensemble of high artistic quality and constant musical research, defined by critics as “spearhead” of the current Italian chamber music production, modular and agile in the workforce – from the Trio to the Octet, up to the orchestra with the Chamber Orchestra “the Soloists of Umbria” – which makes the multipurpose ensemble always competitive in every situation. The Umbria Ensemble repertoire approach is characterized by a vital dynamism open to comparison and synergy also with the other arts.
UmbriaEnsemble were invited to represent Italy with a Concert in Brussels, Cercle Royale Gaulois on the occasion of the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and to perform in a concert for the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
