Friday 4 October at the Teatro Caio Melisso at h 21.00, Nick The Nightfly will open the SPOLETO JAZZ SEASON, a short jazz festival organised by Associazione Visioninmusica, a 15-year old crossover music event organiser.

The three events included will start with “Be YourSelf”, an intense musical journey by Nick The Nightfly through jazz, soul, pop and lounge.

Nick, previously the voice of “Monte Carlo Nights” will be on stage in piazza Duomo along with his quintet.

He will be accompanied by Marcello Di Leonardo on drums, Claudio Colasazza on piano, Francesco Puglisi on bass and Jerry Popolo on sax.

The Spoleto Jazz Season will go on 18 October with Dock In Absolute, from Luxembourg and 15 November at the Teatro Nuovo with Fabrizio Bosso and Javier Girotto’s Latin Mood.

Nick the Nightfly was born in Glasgow (Scotland), has been living in Italy since 1982 and is an accomplished singer, guitarist and composer. During his radio broadcasts, he improvised with and/or interviewed guests such as Sting, Peter Gabriel, David Sylvian, Herbie Hancock, Caetano Veloso, Annie Lennox, Pat Metheny, and many more. He also performed along with Michael Bublè, Giovanni Allevi, Giorgia, Carmen Consoli, David Knopfler, Incognito, Ludovico Einaudi, Sarah Jane Morris, Yellow Jackets, and others. Since 2003 Nick is the artistic director of the “Blue Note” in Milan and of the “Milano Jazzin Festival”.
