In front of a packed hall, an award ceremony took place yesterday afternoon for the athletes of Spoleto who, in 2019, stood out for the results obtained in the various sports disciplines.
At the Chiostro di San Nicolò, about 200 people attended the ceremony, chaired by the Mayor Umberto de Augustinis along with the chairman of the municipal council Sandro Cretoni, the deputy mayor Beatrice Montioni, councilors Francesco Flavoni and Angelo Loretoni, city councilors Massimiliano Montesi (delegated to sport) and Paola Vittoria Santirosi (delegated to tourism).
Mayor Umberto de Augustinis: “Your commitment and your dedication, even before the results you have achieved with merit, are the most important example for your peers and for the city. I thank you on behalf of everyone, because sport is passion, sacrifice, self-sacrifice and team spirit: all important values that you have had the ability to make yours, working with great seriousness”
