SHOOTING OF DON MATTEO 13 GETS UNDERWAY ON 31 MAY IN SPOLETO. TERENCE HILL ON SET FROM 7 JUNE. IN THE NEW SEASON THE NEW ENTRY RAOUL BOVA AND THE RETURN OF FLAVIO INSINNA
Monday 31 May the shooting of “Don Matteo 13” will resume in Spoleto; the succesful series is produced by Luca and Matilde Bernabei for Lux Vide in collaboration with Rai Fiction, starring Terence Hill, who will begin filming the new season in the Umbrian town from Monday 7 June.
The all-Italian format first aired on January 7, 2000 on Rai 1 is back. Over the years, the series has been one of the most popular in the history of Italian fiction, increasingly appreciated around the world, from France to Finland, from America to Australia.
It is a journey through today’s life and society, between crimes and heroism, generosity and humour, with the irreducible gaze of a man who believes in the possibility of change and forgiveness.
At the centre of the series, directed by Francesco Vicario and Luca Brignone for 10 evenings, we find Don Matteo, the Captain and the Marshal, a triangle capable of creating a story where laughter and emotions coexist, giving life to a unique world. Alongside them we find Nardi, Natalina, Pippo, little Ines and Anceschi, played by Flavio Insinna, who has arrived in town for a special occasion.
Anceschi is joined by his daughter Valentina, a girl who seems sunny and full of life but who is hiding a pain in her past. When she discovers the truth, Anceschi finds it hard to recognise her as the daughter he has raised.
New additions to the season include Raoul Bova, playing a priest in his first job.
