The concert on Friday 13 August will be dedicated to the lawyer Carlo Belli on the 107th anniversary of his birth in Rome on 13 August 1914.
The concerts of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto “A. Belli” continue, in collaboration with the City of Spoleto, as part of Spoleto d’Estate and the project “Canto per la Rinascita“. Two last summer appointments in the courtyard of Palazzo Collicola, before the opening of the 2021 season which will feature the new voices of the Teatro Lirico.
The first concert will take place on Friday 13 August at 9 p.m., with a programme curated by the new artistic co-director Enrico Girardi, entitled ‘Opera beyond borders‘, a selection of arias from works by Christoph Willibald Gluck, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Charles Gounod, Georges Bizet, Antonín Dvořák and Jules Massenet. As anticipated, the evening will be dedicated to the lawyer Carlo Belli, 107 years after his birth. Son of Adriano Belli, founder of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale, Carlo Belli was President of the Spoleto institution until his death in 2014.
“Questa o quella per me pari non sono…” is the title of the second and last event – scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, August 18, at 19.00 – which will see the voices of the Teatro Lirico in a program designed by them and freely drawn from the songs already performed during the event Spoleto d’Estate 2021.
The winners of the “European Community” competitions for young opera singers in Spoleto 2020 and 2021 will perform: Chiara Boccabella (soprano), Dyana Bovolo (mezzo-soprano), Sara Cortolezzis (soprano), Nicola Di Filippo (tenor), Oronzo D’Urso (tenor), Elena Finelli (soprano), Maria Stella Maurizi (soprano), Matteo Lorenzo Pietrapiana (baritone), Giacomo Pieracci (bass), Elena Salvatori (soprano), Giorgia Teodoro (soprano), Andrea Vincenti (tenor).

The new voices of the Teatro Lirico will perform in the coming months on the occasion of the 75th Sperimentale Opera Season, which will officially open on 3 September and continue until 25 September, in Spoleto and in the main theatres of Umbria.
