Covid-19 emergency: outdoor performances suspended

Capacity cut down to 50% for the ‘A Shared Christmas’ indoor events

Cultural events and open-air shows will be suspended, and indoor events will have their capacity reduced by 50%. This is the decision taken by the City Council as a further measure, effective today, Wednesday 29 December, until 16 January 2022, to tackle the increasing spread of COVID-19 infections.

The decision is linked to the need to limit crowded situations and occasions that ignite further workload for the structures of the Local Health Unit, pharmacies and general practitioners, already heavily burdened by soaring requests for interventions and services.

For the moment, this only applies to the schedule of ‘Un Natale condiviso’. The city administration and the Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria are considering measures for the Prose Season performance ‘Chi ha paura di Virginia Woolf?’ (Who’s afraid of Virginia Woolf?), scheduled for 9 January at 5 pm at the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti.

One seat for every two in the stalls and no more than two people in the boxes are recommended (save for exceptional, justified cases).

Following the decision of the City Council, the BMV CABRIO ACAPELLA CONCERT, scheduled for Sunday, 2 January at 6 p.m. and initially planned in Piazza Pianciani, will be held in the upper hall of the Complesso Monumentale di San Nicolò.

Performance venues are only accessible with the Super Green Pass and FFP2 mask shall mandatorily be worn at all times.
