Everything is ready for the 193rd Spoleto Carnival! In spite of the pandemic restrictions, the 2022 schedule offers a series of appointments to return and live the atmosphere of one of the longest-standing city events.
The first such appointment will be on Thursday 24 February at 5 pm with the opening of an exhibition on the history of Spoleto’s Carnival featuring documents, elements of the parade floats and historical costumes, celebrating the more than 100-year history of this event. The exhibition is organised at the Auditorium della Stella in piazza don Pino Puglisi and will be visitable every day from 4 pm to 7 pm, Saturdays and Sundays in the morning too, from 10.00 to 13.00.
The second appointment is scheduled on Saturday 26 February at 5.30 pm at the San Nicolò Monumental COmplex, where a concert by the “Piccolo coro del Teatro Lirico Sperimentale” conducted by maestro Mauro Presazzi will take place.
This year’s novelty is scheduled on Sunday 27 at from 3.00 pm. “La città in maschera” is a masked walk through the streets and squares of the old town centre featuring the citizenship and the Groowa Circus street band.
