Angelo Ferracuti arrives at Morgnano di Spoleto for a meeting on “Workers’ Cultures”

New appointment with “Street Lessons, Space Readings” on Saturday 13 August at 6 pm in Morgnano di Spoleto with writer Angelo Ferracuti who will discuss the theme of “Workers’ Cultures” at the “Pozzo Orlando”, an industrial archaeology site which is now the Mines’ Museum.
In the days leading up to his ‘Street Lesson’, in addition to an institutional meeting, visits to the main monuments in the city of Spoleto and excursions in the area are planned. Finally, a preliminary inspection where the meeting with the public will take place.
Angelo Ferracuti (Fermo, 1960) has mainly published narrative hybrids, including Le risorse umane (Feltrinelli, 2006), Il costo della vita (Einaudi, 2013) with a photographic insert by Mario Dondero; Lo Straniero prize), Andare, camminare, lavorare (Feltrinelli, 2015), Addio (Chiarelettere, 2016), and the memoirs La metà del cielo (Mondadori, 2019) and Non ci resta che l’amore (Il Saggiatore, 2021). Soon to be published is the reportage with photographer Giovanni Marrozzini Viaggio sul fiume mondo (Mondadori, 2022). He collaborates with il manifesto, il venerdì di la Repubblica, la Lettura del Corriere della Sera and Radio 3.
At the end of Angelo Ferracuti’s “Street Lesson”, there will be a visit to the Mining Museum with a guide from Int.Geo.Mod. For those who wish, the evening will continue at the Chateau de Pep restaurant (Ponte Bari area, Via Macedonio Melloni, restaurant reservations subject to availability, tel. 0743 261016).
The evento completes the first series of “Street Lessons, Space Readings” that started with Tommaso Giartosio last 13 July on “Memory and oblivion” in San Brizio di Spoleto, and continued with Lorenzo Pavolini on 4 August on “Nature’s Tale” in Monteluco.
