Four appointments at Spazio Collicola. Thursday 18 August at 9.00 pm Daniele di Bonaventura in “Garofani rossi”
Daniele di Bonaventura, Roberto Zechini, Simone Locarni, Yuri Goloubev, Fabrizio Sferra, Greg Burke, Marco Bonini, Joe Rehmer and John B. Arnold. These are the protagonists of the four musical events of “Collicola Jazz Connection“, the jazz festival organised by Marco Sarti and Consorzio ZdB included in ‘Accade d’estate a Spoleto’.
Thursday 18 August at 9 p.m. at Spazio Collicola is scheduled the concert of musician, arranger and composer Daniele di Bonaventura, one of the best Italian interpreters of bandoneon, an instrument made famous by Astor Piazzolla and Dino Saluzzi.
“Garofani rossi” is the title of the evening, created to pay tribute to the memory of photographer Mario Dondero and dedicated to the iconic figure of Maestro Gian Carlo Menotti, during which Bonaventura will interpret ten of the most famous popular fight songs from Europe and Latin America.
Through his simple and immediate music, Bonaventura presents well-known songs in new arrangements, interpreting the lyrics in an often poignant way: from ‘Hasta Siempre’ to ‘El pueblo unido’, from ‘El quinto regimiento’ to ‘Grandola vila morena’, ‘Fischia il vento’ and ‘L’internazionale’, up to ‘El soldato de levita’ and the articulate reinterpretation of ‘Bella ciao’.
The next appointments with the “Collicola Jazz Connection” concerts will always be at Spazio Collicola, starting at 9 p.m.: Echoes Sustain Able feat Roberto Zecchini (Sunday 28 August), Simone Locarni Trio feat Yuri Goloubev & Fabrizio Sferra (Tuesday 30 August), Tekna feat Greg Burke, Joe Rehmer, John B. Arnold. Special guest ‘Ubik’ Marco Bonini (Thursday 8 September).
