Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September Rocca Albornoz – Museo Nazionale del Ducato / Casa Romana – Spoleto Tempietto sul Clitunno – Campello sul Clitunno
On the occasion of the 2022 European Heritage Days, scheduled for Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September and dedicated to the theme of sustainable heritage, Sistema Museo, in collaboration with the Regional Museums Directorate of Umbria – Rocca Albornoz – National Museum of the Duchy of Spoleto and Tempietto sul Clitunno, the Department for the Enhancement of Culture, Quality and Beauty of the City and Territory of the City of Spoleto and the City of Campello sul Clitunno, is promoting a series of initiatives to enhance the cultural heritage of the city and the territory.
On the evening of Saturday 24 September, there will be three extraordinary openings at the symbolic entrance fee of 1 euro: the Casa Romana from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Rocca Albornoz and the National Museum of the Duchy of Spoleto from 7.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. (last admission 9.45 p.m.) and the Tempietto sul Clitunno from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
At the Rocca Albornoz on Saturday 24 September at 5 p.m. there will be the dance performance Contemporanea Prece and at 7.30, 8.15 and 9 p.m. Dall’alto delle torri… di notte (From the top of the towers… by night), evocative guided tours of the fortress’s defensive routes where a guide, starting at sunset, will illustrate the wonderful view from the top of the patrol walkways, made even more fascinating by the night light.
A Monument That Has Fascinated For Centuries is the title of the exclusive guided tours scheduled for Saturday 24 September at 7.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. at the Tempietto sul Clitunno, with a guide who will illustrate the history and uniqueness of this ancient building.
On Sunday 25 September at 11.00 a.m. the Tempietto sul Clitunno will host Una giornata En Plein Air, a creative activity for children and families, at 3.30 p.m. the Casa Romana will host In fuga dalla domus, an enthralling team Escape Room set in the Spoletium of 2000 years ago, and at 4.00 p.m. the Rocca Albornoz will host a guided tour I Longobardi a Spoleto by Tiziana Caponi.
The cost of participation in the themed guided tours is € 4.00 per person, reduced to € 3.00 for Spoleto Card holders and for children and young people aged between 7 and 17, and free for children up to the age of 6 (subject to purchase of the Spoleto Card or museum entrance ticket).
For the creative activity ‘A Day En Plein Air‘ participation is free of charge upon purchase of an entrance ticket for accompanying adults, for the activity ‘Escaping the Domus‘ the cost is € 8.00 per child.
As for the guided visit ‘I Longobardi a Spoleto’ admission is free of charge, upon purchase of the entrance ticket.
Guided tours and scheduled activities require MANDATORY BOOKING while places last and compliance with the current Covid-19 regulations.
