9 – 11 December, Giardini dell’Ippocastano, Market exhibition of local food and wine products

The appointments included in the calendar of events of ‘Accade a Natale a Spoleto‘ continue. From Friday 9 to Sunday 11 December, in the evocative setting of the Giardini dell’Ippocastano in viale Giacomo Matteotti, Spoleto Tipica returns in its Christmas version with a market exhibition of the territory’s food and wine excellence.

Following the success of Dolci d’Italia, Spoleto nel piatto and EAT – Enogastronomia a Teatro, this fourth event will also focus on the combination of local products and the territory, with farms, associations and companies playing a leading role in the relaunch of the food and wine sector.
From saffron to cheese, from truffles to pulses, from jams to oil and wine, passing through locally produced bitters, cereals, flours, honey, chestnuts, biscuits, up to panettone to support the activities of the NGO Emergency. These in a nutshell are the products on display and for sale at the ‘Spoleto Tipica Christmas Edition‘, scheduled for Friday 9, from 12.00 to 20.00, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 December, from 10.00 to 20.00.

The event at the Giardini dell’Ippocastano, where it will also be possible to visit La Casina dei Balocchi and taste nougat, pandoro and panettone (9 December, from 6 p.m.), listen to live music (11 December, from 6 p.m.), and take part in shows and workshops for children (11 December, 4.30 p.m.), will be a three-day event dedicated to taste and tradition, where the public can get to know, taste and purchase the excellent products of the participating producers.
Not to be missed, on Sunday 11 December, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Piazza Pianciani, Corso Mazzini and Piazza della Libertà, the Mercatino dell’Antico (Antique Market), the event set up in the city centre and dedicated to handicrafts and small antiques, clothing, furniture, jewellery, books and paintings.
