“White Presences” in Spoleto

Friday 23 and Monday 26 December the travelling show with stilts and lights in the city centre

On Friday 23 and Monday 26 December, the streets of the city will be transformed into a fairy-tale and romantic place thanks to Bianche Presenze (White Presences), the travelling show with luminous butterflies on stilts curated by the Accademia Creativa, the company founded by Luca Sargenti that has grown from a theatre and music centre into an international reality with productions of commedia dell’arte, children’s theatre, image theatre with cirque nouveau techniques and street theatre.

The show will start on 23 December from Piazza della Libertà at 5.30 p.m. and will continue along Corso Mazzini before resuming at 6.55 p.m. along Corso Garibaldi. On Monday 26 December, the show will start at 5 p.m. in Piazza Duomo, with final ‘White Ballons’ animation, and will continue at 6.25 p.m. at the Casina dei Balocchi in the Giardini dell’Ippocastano with final ‘White Ballons’ animation at 7 p.m.

Elegance and explosiveness, as well as originality, are at the heart of the show with dancers dressed as ethereal white butterflies in luminous costumes made unique in Italy thanks to the use of sophisticated warm light LED technology. The ladies will be accompanied by original stilt-walkers, fairy characters who will flood the streets of Spoleto with magic with light objects and small pyrotechnic effects. Making everything even more magical will be the presence of a luminous float that will accompany an aerial dancer.

Attendees will be transported into a fairy-tale world that will provide the youngest with an exciting and extraordinary adventure, while the eldest will be able to be children again for a moment!
