Spoleto among the 10 finalists for the 2025 CAPITAL OF CULTURE
Public hearings will take place on 20 and 21 March 2023 in Rome
‘Culture Generates Energy‘, the project submitted by the City of Spoleto to the Ministry of Culture on 13 September, is among the ten finalist projects identified by the Jury for the selection of the 2025 ‘Italian Capital of Culture’.
On 20 and 21 March 2023, public hearings will be held in Rome, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, where all the proposals of the ten finalist cities will be presented: Agrigento, Aosta, Assisi, Asti, Bagnoregio, Monte Sant’Angelo, Orvieto, Pescina, Roccasecca and Spoleto.
‘We are satisfied with this result, because it is a first step that has been passed and allows us to be on the short list of candidate cities,‘ said the mayor Andrea Sisti. ‘Clearly, also in light of the participatory project and the underlying concept of innovation, the goal is to be able to obtain the title of Italian Capital of Culture 2025. It is clear that, as we have already said on other occasions, since this work is the result of a strong involvement of the city, regardless of the final outcome of the candidature, we will still aim to achieve what is envisaged in the dossier‘.
