The Ballet of Moscow will stage Čajkovskij’s Nutcracker on Monday 12 December 2016 at h 21.00 by the Teatro Nuovo “Gian Carlo Menotti” in Spoleto.
Love, dream and fantasy are the marks of one of the most charming ballets in the history of classical dance. The bewitching scenography by the Ballet of Moscow drags the audience right into Hoffmann’s plot. For its fairy tale-like, happy-ending features, as well as its generally enchanted atmosphere, The Nutcracker (that features sweets, toy soldiers, Christmas trees, snowflakes, dancing flowers, wicked mice, prodigies, prince charming and a fairy), has become a ballet that enthralls the young and the grown-up alike. This is why it is the most represented Christmas show in the whole world. The finale is marked by the exquisite “Вальс цветов” (Waltz of the Flowers), after which Clare will end up sitting in her easy-chair with the nutcracker on her womb, happy of her Christmas Rêverie.

Mezz’ora dopo la chiusura, Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive’s event organized by Sistema Museo, returns on Friday January 6, 2017 at 7 pm.
The visit will focus on Palazzo Collicola’s portraits dating from the XVIth to the XX century; from ancient effigies of armed men and churchmen to contemporary representations of famous people, to find out how this pictorial genre has evolved along the centuries.
The evening continues with a tasting of local products by the Caffè Collicola. The event is organized in collaboration with Con Spoleto – the Spoleto hotel managers’ association.

Mezz’ora dopo la chiusura, Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive’s event organized by Sistema Museo, returns on Friday, January 20 2017 at 7 pm. with a visit focusing on “that unrepeatable experiment that took place in 1962 with the exhibition Sculptures in the City.” That experience, which made Spoleto a world capital for contemporary art, will be narrated in an original way, not only through artworks, but also through videos and documents that testify to the fascination of the event.
